How It Works:
Students start at any reading card which you've posted around the room. Each card contains a short passage followed by a question that when answered reveals a code word. This code word then directs students to the next card in a sequence unknown to them, requiring multiple interactions with the text to decode the mystery. Students can start at any card which allows your entire class to hunting at the same time. The challenge culminates in deciphering a final mystery word and 4-digit code, promoting critical thinking and retention of information.
Ideal for Introduction or Review:
While perfectly suited for introducing new units, this scavenger hunt can also serve as a light-hearted review, refreshing students' knowledge in an interactive manner.
