Learn about "Los Miembros de la Familia" in Spanish by viewing the Photo of the Family Tree-"El Arbol de La Familia"
Students may repeat the words for the family members in Spanish to increase comprehension and pronunciation skills
The next activity contains an informative list of vocabulary words which contains audio support for both family member words and example sentences, including, extended family members, direct lineages, in-laws, step-family, half-siblings, and second relations. The audio portion of the vocabulary words and sentences is very useful for the following reasons:
*Audio-visual material is a technology-based strategy that has gotten many
positive results from ESOL learners. Therefore, it is believed that this strategy
would develop both listening and speaking skills among ESOL learners.
In addition, this activity moves on to the grammar portion regarding possessive adjectives and pronouns with example sentences provided with audio support for listening and pronunciation skills. Moreover, this page will move on to teach students how to introduce family members. This provides extra opportunities for students to practice what they learned in speaking exercises.
At the end of this activity, there is a Quiz to analyze students' comprehension skills of the above information. (This is through Gritty Spanish and I have a subscription to their materials.
Next, students can have fun while practicing identifying the family members' vocabulary words with an engaging and interactive "Quizizz" game
Here students may identify the Family Members from English to Spanish
The Simpson's Family Tree: View the Simpson's Family Tree and answer the Comprehension Questions to identify Bart's relatives
Listening Comprehension: Listen to a story: "Mi Abeula Juliana" and answer the corresponding questions to increase listening skills and comprehension
