I have been a Kindergarten teacher since August of 2002. I LOVE teaching. Now do I love all of the paperwork, the testing/assessments and lack of funding for our kids? Of course not. But when one of my kids sounds out a word for the first time, writes a sentence without help or adds and can explain why...they get this look in their eyes of such excitement that it makes that all fade for a little while.
