Andrew Nguyen

My name is Andrew Nguyen, I am a teacher at a special education school. I started my educational journey in a special education department and meet a lot of determined and hard-working students wanting to learn despite their learning differences, along with meeting smart and passionate providers along the way. This encouraged me to continue my path as a special education teacher, I want to continue providing the knowledge I've learned throughout my years to continue supporting the students learning process. In our community, we work with students with various learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, and/or other school-based anxiety. School for many of our students hasn't been a positive experience in past schools. Although working with students with learning differences isn't easy, I hope to create a classroom that can provide the necessary tools and accommodations for each student to learn by minimizing unnecessary anxiety when learning. Seeing firsthand the hard work and excitement on their faces when they start to understand something they struggle with pushes me to help them accomplish more and build the confidence they need to learn.
