Learning can be enjoyable in every way for both teacher and student, and it should be. When my students are engaged and invested in their learning and are truly having fun, that's a big part of how learning ' Teachers are in a perfect position to make the learning environments and experiences they provide for their students highly enjoyable and deeply memorable.

I have always loved being around students with special needs. My best childhood friend had a brother with severe handicaps and the first boy I ever babysat had Down's Syndrome.
My earliest memories are being around these special people and seeing how the learn and interact with the world in such a honest way.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from College of Moraga, CA and taught for many years working as a pre-school teacher and a teacher for the YMCA in poor urban settings.
I continued my passion for teaching as a substitute teacher for the Oakland School District for several years .
I moved to Toledo, Ohio in late 1998 and worked for Toledo Public Schools as a sub until I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education from Bowling Green University .
I worked with students with severe emotional issues for years until I found my favorite Home school of Roy C Start High School . I have taught Cross Categorical Special Education as well as my favorite, Multiple Disabled students .
I get the honor or setting up my own new unit in teaching students with Multiple Disabilities in the FALL and I am looking forward to creating a happy, positive, and productive classroom! My students need instruction in daily living skills and to develop career skills so they can be a productive member of our society.
I am hoping to raise money to help provide daily life skills materials as well as some technology for them to be actively engaged in their learning !
I am so positive about this classroom and making sure my students will have all the tools they need to be successful and independent in my classroom ! Thank you !
