Growing up in the small reservation town of Wapato I saw first hand how poverty effects education. Not having adequate school supplies or money for lunch was a chronic problem. At an early age I knew I wanted to become a teacher. Not only did I do that but I work for the school district in which I went to school in. I know these kids, I know there families and their struggles. Because of this I am able to bond and build relationships to foster a loving classroom.
