Brooke Hogan

I am a 7th grade Math, Science, and Health Teacher in Long Beach, CA. I am also a single mother of two children. When people ask me how many kids I have, my automatic response is 107.... because I am counting my 2 children at plus my 105 students that I see every day. I take much responsibility in my students, and care for them as if they were my own. In my 10 years of teaching, I have seen funding for students, teachers, and classrooms drop drastically. 90% of the time I am using my own money to buy supplies, rewards, and even personal necessities needed for my students to be successful. It can become very expensive when trying to purchase these things for 105 kids.
I have 105 reasons for waking up everyday and giving my best self to those children.
