Brooke Scott

My name is Brooke Scott, and I am in my 7th year of teaching, and this year I will exclusively have 5th graders! I strive to provide hands on, minds on, hearts on lessons to my students to help them gain experiences they may never have again. I promote kindness and growth mindset within my classroom; it is a safe learning space where mistakes are valued and drive innovation. I teach more than just "regular" school subjects; I am teaching compassion, etiquette, and gratitude. I know that my students are humans, full of emotions and life circumstances that are more often than not, beyond their control. Being a teacher is an expensive job. I don't think twice when I go to the store to buy science lab supplies for my kids with my personal funds, and their excitement for learning because of what I do, reinforces that I am doing the right thing.
