Early Colonial America: Why Create Jamestown?
Description
This is a brief micro course on the early beginnings of Jamestown. The course covers a summarized background of England in the 1600s, why England wanted to expand to the New World, and explains The Virginia Company of London. The end of the course wraps up in 1606 BEFORE the selected first group of settlers leave for America. This course is meant to answer the question, "Why does England want settlers in America?"
Included in the course:
-A course plan giving an outline of objectives, prep for the lesson, what to expect to learn during the video and a list of follow up activities
-An approximate 8 minute video lesson about the above description and short vocabulary review
-A Fill in the blank guided notes activity
-A Reflection essay activity
