Ready for High School? Essential Skills for Student Success in the Teen Years
The transition from middle school to high school can be daunting for many students. This four-session course aims to equip incoming high school students with essential study skills and strategies to thrive academically.
Through interactive activities, discussions, and practical exercises, students will develop effective study habits, time management skills, note-taking techniques, and critical thinking abilities. By the end of the course, students will feel confident and prepared to navigate the challenges of high school academics successfully.
Responses to student questions will, in most cases be within 24 hours, and never more than 48.
Student work and reflection is given feedback for the week on Sundays.
It is estimated that the entire course will take four one-hour-long sessions, paced at one per week.

Implement time management techniques
Understand the importance of good notetaking and develop different methods
Develop critical thinking skills for analyzing information and problem solving strategies
Manage text anxiety and stress
Learn effective exam prep techniques.
