Improve writing skills specific to your needs one class at a time. We will work on how to create a great story, focusing on different aspects week by week. Anyone can write with a little guidance and their imagination!
In this self-paced class, we will work on creative story writing, focusing on one skill per week. Each pre-recorded lesson will demonstrate a key element of writing that will improve the student's writing skills. Topics include: using an outline, adding details, creating reader interest with a problem, creating reader interest with a solution, introducing new characters in your writing, describing characters, using emotion to develop your story, and finally how to revise and edit your draft. I love to write and would love to help your student grow to love it as well!
After each pre-recorded lesson, your student will be given an assignment to complete related to the lesson. A rubric will be provided for you to score your student each week. The culmination of the course will include creating a final writing piece which you can then score using the provided writing rubric.
