🌍 World Religions: Explore Belief Systems Across Cultures
(7-Week Self-Paced Course)
Discover the history, practices, and core beliefs of the world's major religions - from Hinduism to Islam and beyond.
In this engaging flex-schedule class, students will explore the five major world religions in the order they developed: Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam, plus one additional religion of their choice. Lessons focus on the foundations, practices, and global impact of each faith - helping learners develop a respectful, multicultural understanding of belief systems across the globe.
📚 What Students Will Learn:
For each religion, students will explore:
Origin: When, where, and by whom it was founded
Core Beliefs and Teachings
Deities and Holy Texts
Places of Worship and Sacred Practices
Holidays, Traditions, and Community Rituals
💡 Why This Class?
This course encourages open-minded, thoughtful exploration of world religions and emphasizes what different faiths have in common, as well as their unique identities. Students will compare and contrast belief systems while forming their own reflections.

Students complete interactive video lessons, fact sheets, and journal prompts
Final project: student-led exploration of an additional world religion
