I taught high school science for 20 years and decided 4 years ago to move to the middle school level to teach 6-8 science. The strategies for instruction are much different. Middle schoolers still like to draw, cut, and paste….essentially, to create visuals to help them organize their information. This creativity also helps to engage the students. Donations will be used to buy colored pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue sticks. The availability of these supplies in my classroom impacts the strategies I implement for instruction and could mean the difference for many kids that are visual and tactile learners. Thank you for considering my request!
