Each year, the English Language Department takes our 5th Grade English Learners on a field trip. This year we want to take the group to Tree House World in Chester County, Pennsylvania!
This annual 5th grade field trip provides valuable social and academic benefits. It gives fifth graders from our ten elementary schools an early opportunity to meet and build connections before joining together at our district's 6th grade building. Four our elementary schools are Title 1.
The outing also exposes students to community activities and experiences they may not otherwise have access to, helping broaden their understanding of the world around them. Additionally, it serves as a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the end of elementary school, support their transition into middle school, and allow them to meet other English learners who share similar experiences.
