I'm moving to a new school and I was told that the past art teachers from middle school up have introduced their students to George Rodrigue's Blue Dog. I would like to bring The Life and Legacy Tour to the school district I'm moving to. The Life and Legacy Tour brings real George Rodrigue paintings to the schools and his widow Wendy Rodrigue Magnus does the presentations about the legendary artist and his works. When I was at my prior school she made such a presentation and the students were very much engaged in it and integrated the learning into future work. It is rare to have such an involved patron who can share in person the artistic legacy of such an important artist at this local and intimate level. It will make an impact on so many young artists!!
