About
A New Chapter for Our Library
For decades, our school library has been a place where students discover new worlds, develop a love of reading, and build the skills they need to succeed. However, much of the library furniture currently in use dates back to the 1960s. After years of daily use, many tables and furnishings are worn, outdated, and beginning to fall apart.
We are raising $5,000 to create a more comfortable, flexible, and welcoming library environment for our students at St. Joseph's School for the Deaf.
Our vision is to transform the library into a dynamic learning space that can support a variety of activities throughout the school year. New furniture will allow us to easily adapt the space for library lessons, small-group instruction, literacy events, guest speakers, family programs, reading celebrations, and collaborative student projects.
A key part of this project is the purchase of versatile folding tables that can be quickly rearranged to meet the changing needs of students and staff. In addition, we hope to add comfortable seating that encourages students to relax with a good book and view the library as a place where they want to spend time learning and exploring.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward replacing aging furniture and creating a modern space that better serves our Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. A well-designed library is more than a room filled with books - it is a place where curiosity grows, confidence develops, and a lifelong love of reading begins.
Thank you for helping us write a new chapter for our library and the students we serve. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on generations of readers.
