This fall I started my 7th year teaching in Portland, Oregon. Currently I am the Middle School Science Teacher at St Agatha Catholic School as well as the new K-8 STEM Teacher and IT Support for the school. I absolutely love teaching and especially love to give my students opportunities to learn through hands-on labs and activities.
The STEM class at my school is brand new this year and I am creating it from scratch with virtually no supplies. All the supplies that I do have, have been purchased with my own funds as my yearly budget for both the STEM and science classes is only $150. In today's market, that budget does not go very far especially when attempting to build a new program from the ground up.
I would love to create the Science and STEM Labs of my dreams and provide my students with the skills they will need to be successful in the future.
