I am a military spouse and am originally from the Netherlands. Being an Army wife, I wanted to choose a career that would be relatively easy to find a job when we changed duty stations. I chose to become a teacher thinking I could always find a job, but it wasn't until I was actually in the classroom and saw" the light bulb" in a child's eyes that I knew I found my calling! I taught for several years and then took time off to raise my children. I went back to teaching after my youngest child started Kindergarten. I love the fact that I am off when my kids are out of school as well. I have taught K - 6th Grade. My heart belongs to the little ones! I just accepted a 2nd Grade position after teaching 1st Grade for the past 5 years. I'm really excited to start my new adventure.
