I have taught for 15 years and all 15 have been in low income areas. I have taught kindergarten, first and fourth grades and next school year I will be teaching 2nd grade math and science.
The attached pictures are of my new classroom. It is bare and lifeless right now. It's heart breaking to see a classroom look like this but I'll do everything I can to make it an inviting atmosphere for my children.
I have four boys ages 15, 12 and 4 year old twins. I attend Liberty Church where I teach kindergarten. I also help run a travel Football and Cheer organization.
