About
I began teaching in 1998 right out of high school. I started out in preschool, teaching 3/4 year old's. I taught for 15 years in this area before I decided to go to school and finally get my teaching degree. At 33, with 3 young kids at home and as a single mom, I went back to school to get my bachelor's in early childhood education. In May of 2018, I graduated with high honors and finally realized my dream of teaching in my own classroom.
This year I was hired on at my school I've been working at for the past 3 years as their kindergarten teacher. We are a small charter school with only 6 classrooms and the majority of our supplies are teacher purchased or donated from other schools when they get new materials. I decided to go with flexible seating in my classroom this year with cushions and stools and crates for the students to sit on. Yet I'd still love more options for them!
Any donations received for my students will go directly into my classroom to further enrich their educational experiences.
