Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of the students. With games like Fortnight and Roblux, students in our room are interested in computers. My students have limited access to computers, so I would like them to have Chromebooks to make them the 21st-century learners and thinkers that they are destined to be.
For many children with learning disabilities, reading and writing can be a challenge and today's computers are designed to help them.
With programs on computers like Chrome, students can overcome reading difficulties. Struggling readers will often click on the microphone in their Google search to help them find their research topic due to their reading issues. Students who do this find being on the computers fun and begin to research on the computer more for enjoyment! Helping students research projects using computers is fun and is a perfect way to build better thinkers. My students will love getting Chromebooks so they can be more successful.
