About
I am an Early Childhood/Elementary Education teacher from Pennsylvania. After graduating college, I moved to South Florida, where I taught kindergarten in the Palm Beach County School District for 8 years. After having children, I decided to move back to my hometown, where I took a few years off to spend time with my son. I have been teaching in the parochial school system for 20 years now, first in kindergarten, and currently in a first grade classroom.
As a Catholic School teacher, we get $0 dollars to fund our classroom. We get a minimum of supplies to start the year, then everything extra comes from our own pocket. I am able to keep up with glue sticks, pencils, construction paper, but the big ticket items that I long for my students to be able to use are hard to come by. This is where I hope TeacherFunder will be able to help.
