About
I teach 11th & 12th Grade Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a program for students who will be the 1st in their family to go to college. My students inspire me every day. They have overcome incredible obstacles and want to earn their degree in order to return to their communities as nurses, doctors, teachers, therapists, engineers, and law enforcement. My students are low income and cannot afford to participate in summer enrichment programs offered by universities. My goal is to raise money in order to cover the cost of participation in local summer programs.
