About
About My Students...
Every school day, I love observing the diverse strengths each child possesses and how they grow so much each and every day! When you walk into my third-grade classroom, you will see a room filled with scientists, musicians, artists, authors, athletes, dreamers, and scholars.
The students enjoy lessons with opportunities to work together and collaborate with partners and small groups. This is my second year teaching in an elementary classroom and I couldn't be more thrilled to see these eager learners enter my classroom and continue to grow throughout the year! The 19 active learners in my classroom are all connected by homes in rural South Dakota. About 47% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.
My students are rambunctious, hard-working, and hungry for knowledge. They love to go above and beyond for all assignments and show great perseverance while learning. These kids continuously put a smile on my face and are the reason I want to get up and go to work everyday! If I could provide students with more resources and materials for the classroom it will continue to help them succeed throughout the year!
Please consider helping support my classroom!
My Current Project...
My project is a new and interesting piece of technology to use in my classroom this year! The Qball is a throwable microphone which will help the students stay engaged in lessons and participate more in class discussions. The Qball helps ensure that everyone can be heard clearly, especially students who tend to be shy or soft-spoken.
The Qball is something new and exciting, most students will not have seen anything like it! It will help lead with class discussions, morning meetings, and collaborative work. I can't wait to have this great technology piece in my classroom!
