My name is Matt Jones and I am a first year teacher at Brogden Middle School in Durham, North Carolina. I teach 7th grade Social Studies and love what I do!
My goal, each day, is to bring the content that I teach to life! Every day I aim to teach in a way that inspires students to want to learn more and always look forward to their next visit to Mr. Jones' Social Studies class.
I believe Social Studies is hands-on subject. In order to really understand the world and our history, students not only need to see, hear, touch, taste and feel the history we discuss, students must also be challenged to participate in the world around them through hands-on, engaging activities that will plant the seeds of responsible citizenship.
