About
I am a school social worker for the School District of Ladysmith.
I have a passion for working with kiddos and connecting families to resources in our community.
I am working to bring the evidence-based social & emotional running program for boys, called Let Me Run, to our elementary school. My goal is to to ensure any 4th or 5th grade boy who wishes to participate in Let Me Run is able to do so by covering the enrollment fee of $110 per for each boy that signs up. Up to 14 boys can participate in a single season, with a total enrollment cost of $1,540. More information about Let Me Run can be found at www.letmerun.org.
Future Endeavors:
A family closet is also an identified need for families. Providing free clothing, household and personal hygiene items when needed.
Ultimately providing public access to free laundry facilities to ensure families are able to provide their children clean clothing to wear is another long term goal.
