About
I am currently a first grade teacher in Fresno Unified. I have only been a fully credentialed teacher since 2008. However, my teaching career began in 2001 at a small charter school in Fresno. Throughout my career I have served thousands of children. My philosophy of teaching hasn't changed much over the years. I truly believe all children can learn. I use best teaching practices, implement professional development and I am always willing to do what it takes to get my job done. I work extra hours, spend extra money and always do the most because the kids deserve it. This fund will help keep supplies stocked in my classroom. My $300 goal is the amount my local teachers association gives me to spend in September. It is also the amount of money I spent at Amazon & Office Depot last July to make sure I had what I needed to start the year in August. With two months left in the school year we are running low on: erasers, pencils, notebooks, construction paper, glue sticks, and whiteboard markers.
