I'm a parent of a 5th grade student at Murphy School in Oakdale, Connecticut, and member of the 5th Grade Committee and PTO at the school. I'm reaching out with a heartfelt request to help make a very special tradition possible for the 5th grade students at Murphy Elementary.
Each year, our 5th graders end their time at Murphy with a day at Camp Hazen; a place filled with laughter, teamwork, and memories that last well beyond elementary school. It's a day where students challenge themselves on the ropes course, cheer each other on, and reflect on how far they've come. For many, it's the highlight of their entire Murphy experience.
This year, our 5th grade class has doubled in size, which is exciting, but it also means our fundraising goal has doubled, too. We're working hard to make sure every single child can be part of this trip, no matter their family's financial situation.
Every donation, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference. Your support helps cover transportation, activities, and meals, and most importantly, it helps give our kids the chance to celebrate all their hard work together.
