I am the the one and only teacher at a one - room school. Kindergarten-5th graders in one self - contained classroom. It's never boring, always moving in high gear, and more often than not - enjoyable.

I enjoy this ittybitty community and the support it gives our school. With their donations, scholars have recycled hundreds of pounds in cans, plastic and glass. The community attends our annual Clam Chowder Feed fundraiser to support our Outdoor Education Field trips.

I also love that our little school has educated families for generations. My current scholars are the grandchildren of previous students, and I am the daughter of a previous student. Sibilings and cousins learn together in a new classroom, though they are different grade levels-we are a family, in school and out of school. I am the the one and only teacher at a one - room school.
