Where to begin? I have been teaching music for over 25 years in Texas and now New York City (for the last 23). I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a Masters Degree in French horn and former Principal Horn in the Air Force Band of the Golden West. I discovered the ukulele about 12 years ago and fell in love with it - not only for its sound and playability - but also as arguably the best "tool" for teaching music literacy to children and grownups alike. I have been teaching the ukulele in my classes, as well as in the after school program at my current school and the students LOVE it! Last year, I was named "Ambassador" for the company Ohana Ukuleles and couldn't be more thrilled. I have also been studying with the ukulele guru James Hill on his approach to teaching the ukulele and it is really resonating with me. In addition to teaching, I am an award-winning composer and am looking forward to creating new pieces for the ukulele that will be available in my shop.
