SEWING:
More board surface area used for easel back & strut leg boards
Less interfacing patterns to be printed, 10 letter size printable patterns, versus 16 letter size pieces, the equivalent of 1/2 of a roll of Therm o Web Ultrahold interfacing, sold at Walmart for about $8 (as of 10/22), Joann, Thermowebonline, Amazon, Michaels, and online. For sewing, you can use the HeatnBond Lite or Featherlite, in the EZ Print packs, 10 letter sheets, double paper sided, for $8 (as f 10/22), which run through your sewing machine and inkjet printer easy.

For sewing the no sew frame, you will just sew the outer edges of the finished, joined, fabric and interfacing ironed panels together, by sewing the outer edges of the panels, except for openings for the photo & sleeve, and the board pocket openings.
Make this frame for your favorite 8x10" photo!

Less board used, more interfacing used, but can sew!
Also, can still use ribbon to connected panels 2 & 3, to make the photo pocket, by using panels 2 & 3 patterns from no sew pdf, by threading 7 feet of 1/8" or 3 mm wide ribbon through the 7 holes on panels 2 & 3, in both directions, and knotting on both sides

____________

Just take out the photo and its protective sleeve, an acid free sheet protector page cut to the size of the photo with a paper trimmer, and the easel back & and strut leg boards, cut from acid free mat board or cardboard, that slide out of their pockets, that you will make, as well, then place the fabric frame in a lingerie bag, in the washer in a cold, delicate wash, no fabric softener, mild detergent like Woolite or WoolWash from Dollar Tree, and stand or lay flat on a towel to air dry.

This frame is great for displaying photos, use to display a sign, use as a table number display sign, display a poem, you name it!

I decided to make my frames washable, out of purpose, honestly, that, and people were asking me to sell pattern downloads, but told me that they couldn't sew. I started by making frames out of fabric, covering mat board panel parts, and those patterns are available in my store. And the reason I created those was because of the lack of quality fabric covered board picture frames out in the market. I worked in a department store, and one of my many jobs was to put the frames back into their boxes, in the stationery department - I also worked in China / tabletop, and linens. I found that the turn buttons would pop off, glass broke, easel backs with connected strut legs fell apart. I had bought a hinge and hanger press, and I could make frames from fabric, Ultrahold fabric adhesive, mat board, & ribbon, but ...the hand press broke. Luckily, the year before it broke, I created / invented, a fabric covered mat board structure, that used the same 4 elements / supplies, and didn't need the metal hinge & hangers, and all of the supplies could be bought at craft stores, art supply, stationery, and scrapbook stores, plus by then, a woman, Pam, asked me if I had patterns for my frames. So, I began to make the pattern downloads. Within a year, by 2006, I decided that with the same supplies, but by re-configuring the amount of the supplies, and re-designing the structure, I could make a washable, sewn, & no sew (for crafters who don't sew), a fabric frame.

NO SEW PROJECT:

32 pages with

1 board pattern pages for the removable strut leg, make the easel board 9x11"

Ribbon connects the bottom right corner of the strut leg pocket to the easel back, tucked between the layers and hot glue / sew in place. You can use a quality hole puncher to make holes, and thread ribbon through the holes or hang on the wall with the holes.

The photo pocket is made by connecting panels 2 & 3, the 2nd inside frame front border and frame middle / inside facing easel back panels together, threading a 7 foot long by 1/8" wide ribbon through 7 holes, hole punched, or poked & cut out circle holes in a "U" shaped or 3 sided line, marked on the panels with a circles and a guideline, ribbon thread through the holes in both directions, and this will hold the photo in place.
