This 5 day lesson plan is a guides students from opening/intro lessons to closing/exit tickets! It allows students to create their own character, their own setting, conflict, and resolution. It allows teachers to introduce these vocabulary words or build upon and refresh students on what character, setting, conflict, and resolutions are. It walks students each day through a new step and builds on the previous days until they can publish and share their stories on the 5th day. It provides lessons highlighting a new vocabulary word every day and the difference between fiction and non-fiction writing. It also provides a teacher-guide story students can help the teacher build on and interactive read-aloud that can be used to point out what character, setting, conflict, and resolution is. It also provides tools and scaffolding teachers can use to help students brainstorm their own stories.
