Description
This resource is a collection of activities to create learning experiences in Life Science for 5th Grade. These activities have been designed to meet the Academic Standards and Curriculum Guidelines for Teachers. The activities can be used by classroom teachers, homeschooling parents, or other educators interested in developing effective learning activities.
This Bundle of Life Science includes a wide variety of options to engage your students throughout the course of the year. Resources include multiple choice, labeling, matching, drawing, and more. These activities may be used individually or in groups, allowing for differentiation by skill level and possible response formats.

All Science Activities include an answer key that is available as PDF and Google Slides. The answer key is a valuable resource to use in the classroom, or at home, as they help students learn how to explain their answers, check if their explanations are correct, and improve their scientific knowledge and thinking skills.
The Activities featured in this resource are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards:
✍ SC.5.L.14.1 Identify the organs in the human body and describe their functions, including the skin, brain, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, intestines, pancreas, muscles and skeleton, reproductive organs, kidneys, bladder, and sensory organs.
✍ SC.5.L.14.2 Compare and contrast the function of organs and other physical structures of plants and animals, including humans, for example, some animals have skeletons for support -- some with internal skeletons others with exoskeletons -- while some plants have stems for support.
✍ SC.5.L.15.1 Describe how, when the environment changes, differences between individuals allow some plants and animals to survive and reproduce while others die or move to new locations.
✍ SC.5.L.17.1 Compare and contrast adaptations displayed by animals and plants that enable them to survive in different environments such as life cycles variations, animal behaviors and physical characteristics.
