Description

An ideal activity to use before reading or learning about Alice's Adventures in Wonderland!

This is an author biography with assessment questions on Lewis Carroll (the pseudonym of Charles L. Dodgson), the famous children's writer of the 19th century. Born in 1832, he is best known for creating "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and its sequel, "Through the Looking-Glass." These whimsical stories follow a young girl named Alice as she explores a fantastical world filled with peculiar characters and nonsensical situations. Carroll's tales continue to captivate readers with their imaginative and surreal storytelling.

This text was written for Grade 3-6 students and can be used in a number of ways by teachers (close reading, direct instruction in class, independent practice, homework, test prep, assessment, sub work, centers, etc).
