Description
This is a great activity for the beginning and end of the year!
A great way to get to know your students in the beginning of the year, as well as see how they have changed by the end of the year.
When students arrive on the first day of school, I place this on their desk with a sharpened 'Welcome to Our Class" pencil. It is great to get them started while other students are entering the room. Once they finish, I allow students to share with the class and then collect the worksheet to hold until the end of the year.
During the last week of school, the students complete another form that leads to the following year (ex. I give my fifth graders page 8 of this document). Once it is complete, I return the worksheets from the beginning of the year. It is a great way for the students to see how they have changed during the year!
What's included:
All About Me worksheets for grades 1 - 8
Each worksheet has a place to write the following:
- Name
- Birthday
- School
- Teacher
- 8 of the students favorite things (including a favorite thing about him/herself and favorite memory from the previous grade)
- 4 interesting facts (including why he/she is excited & nervous about the current grade
- A section for students to add something that he/she may want their teacher to know
