Description
This fun and engaging activity is a fantastic way to get your students interacting with each other and up and moving around your room as they share interesting and note-worthy facts about the United States of America. Great for English language learners, social studies (geography/history) students, and students learning about American culture, this activity will help students learn about American history, geography, culture, cuisine, music, art, literature, and more!
In this activity, your students will participate in an exciting American Fact Scavenger Hunt, in which each student holds a unique fact card and must communicate with his/her peers in order to: 1) find out more facts and update their activity sheet with the missing information and 2) transmit key information to their peers to help them complete their activity sheets. This is a versatile activity that can be used at any point in the year or as an icebreaker/community-building activity at the beginning of the school year! Minimal prep involved - answer key included!
