Description

**Events Leading to the American Revolution Sort**

They say there are two sides to every story. This activity gives students an opportunity to investigate twelve events leading to the American Revolution from both the colonist and British perspectives. Students will match descriptions of American Revolution events with statements that could have been made from each side. They will gain a deeper understanding of history by examining the events from both the colonists’ point-of-view as well as the British perspective. This resource can be used as a station activity, partner activity, notes, or individual assignment. Sort sheets can be used full size or folded to fit in an interactive notebook. Differentiate by offering students different sort sheets and amounts of choices. Supports skills from CCSS RI.5.3, RI.7.3 and RH.6-8.3.
