Description

In this game, students use a printable board game to play one on one against each other, either as Rome or the Britons.

If you roll a 1, you move one space away on the dotted lines from one icon to another. If the space is occupied by the enemy's player piece, you must fight their piece using 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. Whoever wins, removes that piece and occupies that space. The same happens if you roll a 2, but you can move 2 spaces.
If you roll a 3, return one of your troops to your own town.
If you roll a 4, place an extra player piece on one of your own towns.
If you roll a 5, place a counter on a watchtower. This piece cannot move and can't be fought, but is now an obstacle until it is removed by rolling a 6.
If you roll a 6, you remove a counter from a watchtower.

Background
The Roman invasion of Britain began in AD 43 under Emperor Claudius. The Romans aimed to expand their empire and exploit Britain's resources. Initial military campaigns successfully established Roman control over southeastern Britain, leading to the establishment of Roman rule and the integration of the region into the Roman Empire.
Boudica was a queen of the Iceni tribe, who led a significant uprising against Roman rule in Britain around AD 60/61. Following the death of her husband, Prasutagus, Roman authorities attempted to annex his kingdom and brutally suppressed the Iceni. In response, Boudica led a revolt, rallying various tribes and attacking Roman settlements, including Londinium (London). Despite initial successes, her rebellion was ultimately crushed by the Roman military. Boudica's revolt is remembered for its initial impact and the fierce resistance it represented against Roman occupation.
