Lesson 1: Obras de Arte y Elementos de Arte
· Students observe and analyze three animal artworks by artist Franz Marc.
· Students learn about lines, shapes, and color in art.
Lesson 2: Formas en Animales
· Students practice drawing animals with basic shapes.
Lesson 3: Pintando Animales
· Students use crayons and watercolors to paint an animal in its habitat.
Lesson 4: Repaso y Reflexiones
· Students review key art vocabulary and concepts and reflect on the art-making process.
How you can use this resource:
• In Science class to preview, review, or extend basic Science vocabulary and concepts. OR In Art class as a stand-alone art lesson to teach new art vocabulary and techniques.
• You can use it in whole class OR small groups OR centers.
• Class time may vary from 3 to 5 hours to complete the unit.
Some options may include:
- 4 weeks with one hour of Art a week
- 1 week with one Art lesson a day.
