A fun and engaging way to work on letter and sound recognition are these letter smashes! Use the smash boards with play dough, pull a letter card and smash the box that has the matching letter.
The second option is a cover board. Use manipulatives such as mini erasers or poms to cover the match after picking a card or use the card itself.
A variety of boards are available to work on capital to capital matching, capital to lowercase, lowercase to lowercase, or beginning sounds. With all these options there is something for everyone! Children can each have their own set of mats and cards with the included black and white option.
