This activity provides an independent study or small group writers' workshop process practice AFTER a direct teaching lesson on narrative writing. Teachers can also use this slide deck to teach stages of the writing process with the entire class over several class sessions.
Students are encouraged to practice using precise language, experiment with synonyms of common words, and include transition words as they inform their audience about how they have dealt with insomnia.
