Description
What's It Like Working for a Top Technology Company project gives students an opportunity to learn more about the work environment at one of the large technology firms and what actually working there would be like. This is perfect for a technology, business or marketing class, or a class that focuses on careers. Students research their company of choice via the company's career website as well as by searching for additional information on the Internet to create a presentation in their choice of Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides or Prezi (www.prezi.com). Specific guided questions for the presentation are given, along with requirements for the formatting of the project.
These are fun to share for a career night or Open House too. The project was created for grades 7-8 but could easily be adapted for older students.
This lesson is great for distance learning/remote learning. You can upload it to your school's learning management system (Google Classroom, Edmodo, Canvas, etc.) or share with students via Google Drive.
