This College Pennant Research Project allows students to choose a college that is important to them, research important facts about the college, and then decorate a college pennant to market it to others. Perfect to hang up to around the school for college awareness week or simply to promote college awareness campus-wide!
This resource contains:
✔️ Teacher/sub pacing guide (entire project takes 4-5 days total)
✔️ Blank college pennant outline (works best if printed on cardstock)
✔️ Graphic organizer for student research
✔️ A suggestion of what should be included on the front/back of the pennant
✔️ Student recording sheet to be used during pennant presentations
✔️ 5 Actual pennant examples to show your students!
At the end of the project, you will have bright, eye-catching college pennants to display, and students will have learned important information for 20-30 colleges!

I found that my students became very proud of "their" school and took ownership after they had done research. The students enjoyed seeing all of the different pennant styles, and it was a great way to practice public speaking for my shy kids.
