Many students struggle with effective communication and this may be because either they are more comfortable texting and using technology than speaking face to face, they have few adult role models to show them how to be good listeners and have productive, healthy conversations, they have speech or other communication disorders that may impede their ability to speak and listen well, and/or because they have not been taught how to effectively communicate. Teaching young people how to communicate effectively can help them maintain healthy relationships, resolve conflicts peacefully, excel in school, and eventually get and keep jobs. This resource provides you a variety of opportunities to teach effective communication skills to your students!
