Description
Integers practice any time during the year! Students will practice Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing Integers by solving 26 math problems (per page) distributed throughout shapes then using the Color Key to color each shape according to its solution.
Benefits of Coloring:
· Lowers stress and anxiety levels
· Involves both Logic and Creativity
· Relaxes the Fear Center of the brain
· Helps train the brain to focus
· Induces the same meditative state as meditation
Included, in addition to the 2 activity pages, are sample Student Notes that can be printed and posted in a Math Center, included in Substitute Teacher Plans, or for students who may have missed your original lesson. Students can self-check using the Answer Key, which is also included.
Some Ideas for Usage:
· Whole group instruction
· Small group iii
· Math Center
· Homework
· Bell Work
· Substitute Teacher plans
· Enrichment for those students who finish their work early.
Differentiation:
You could use the 1st activity page (each problem only has 2 terms) with your average/below average students and use the 2nd activity page (each problem has 3 or more terms) with advanced students needing a challenge.
