This fun emergent reader will help your students understand the difference between herbivores and carnivores. Introduces sight words such as "this," "like," "is," and "to."
Lesson:
1. Read the book aloud to all of your students or a group of students.
2. Give each student a copy. Allow them to look at the pages freely.
3. Have them read along with you as you read aloud.
4. Have them practice independently.
5. Small Group/Independently: Have them circle/highlight specific sight words you would like to focus on. For students who are not ready for sight words, have them circle/highlight a specific letter on each page.
