Description

An Escape Room type of activity designed for younger children with an outer space theme. Activities include movement, numbers, counting, task boxes, letters, beginning sounds, colors, sight words, shapes, critical thinking, cooperative play, space centers, literacy, fine motor, outer space activities, and more. For kindergarten, preschool, SPED, child care, homeschool, or any early childhood setting.

Materials Needed: plastic links, hole puncher, interlocking cubes, tweezers, pompoms, plastic letters, pencils, crayons, pencil boxes or other containers, 1 box or bag, craft sticks, envelopes

Escape The Aliens (A Space Themed Escape Activity)

Your students are trying to alert a nearby shuttle to take them from an alien planet back to Earth. Time is of the essence because the shuttle passes by only once a year!

Your students will need to find and complete a series of space related mini tasks in order to collect puzzle pieces to unlock the box which contains the item needed to escape.

This resource is designed for younger children in a group setting. Your enthusiasm will go a long way toward making this an engaging adventure. They will be excited while learning at the same time. There will be space themed, mini tasks and a movement activity at the end of the game.

This game is timed completely under your control.
15 mini tasks are included but you can easily shorten the game by using less. There are also an additional 10 sight word mini tasks that you can use instead.

7] Pencil Box Escape Task 11 - Count and Stack Cubes 1-12 " Laminate and cut apart the cards. Put the mixed up pieces inside the pencil box with interlocking cubes. Choose a card. Count and stack the cubes inside the square, matching the number. Repeat with another card until the time is up. Have someone check the work. Take apart and return the items to the box. - comes with:

8] Pencil Box Escape Task 12 - Find and Cover Shapes " Put the cards and small manipulatives (erasers, cubes, etc.), inside the pencil box. Choose an alien shape card.
