This 29-page social narrative is designed to help children understand why they need to flush the toilet and how to overcome a fear of toilet flushing. It features realistic photos and includes 7 options for helping children overcome toilet flushing anxiety including wearing headphone, closing the toilet lid fist, practicing while getting gradually closer, or holding a fidget toy. It also discusses a quick mindfulness breathing exercise.
This autism social narrative features photographs and simple text and would be a good resource for young children with autism or special education needs who benefit from explicit teaching of social skills and visual supports. It features images on pages where children can point to an answer if they are non-verbal.
This social skills story is similar to a social story but is more conversational and interactive and less directive than traditional social stories. The social narrative features individuals of a variety of ethnicities, genders, and ages.
