Description
It's time for the flow of energy! These activities are low-to-no prep, full of fun, and engaging that will get your students excited about learning about the flow of energy.
The fun and engaging worksheets are a great addition to any science unit. Each worksheet transforms your class into an exploratory classroom. Using this material, your students will gain a better understanding of the flow of energy. The informational pages included provides a handy guide for teachers when teaching this unit. The worksheets engage the mind while reinforcing student understanding through activities such as multiple choice questions, investigating activities, writing activities, and more! The answer key is included!
This Activity aligns with Next Generation Science Standards:
⚬ SC.4.L.17.2 Explain that animals, including humans, cannot make their own food and that when animals eat plants or other animals, the energy stored in the food source is passed to them.
They can complete the activities on paper or on a computer using Google Classroom. This resource is divided into the following sections, and within each section are ready-to-print resources and engaging activities:

It has a brief history of the subject, with an overview of all the most important points. It also includes diagrams and illustrations to help illustrate what they're learning and make it more fun.

✍ Identify the examples of consumers
✍ Match the picture to the correct type of consumers
✍ Arrange the flow of energy
✍ Complete the diagram comparing producers and consumers
✍ Cut out the boxes and glue them to the correct source of energy
✍ Cut out the pictures and identify if they are producers or a consumer
✍ Multiple choice questions
✍ Identify the correct type of consumer for each animal
✍ Draw a line from each description to its matching picture
✍ Identify whether each living thing is a producer, consumer, or decomposer
✍ Answer questions about herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, and decomposers
✍ Word scramble
✍ Draw and label three of your favorite food to consume
✍ Herbivore scavenger hunt
Answer Key to Activities
All Science Activities include an answer key that is available as PDF and Google Slides. The answer key is a valuable resource to use in the classroom, or at home, as they help students learn how to explain their answers, check if their explanations are correct, and improve their scientific knowledge and thinking skills.
