Description
When your students are working on fractions, do they look at a line with 3 markers on it, (at the 0/1, 1/2, and 2/2 points), and tell you that the line is divided into thirds instead of halves because they see three lines? This set of four Jamboards starts by helping them focus on how many line segments there are instead, accurately identifying fractions from 1/2 to 1/8.
There are 4 different Jamboards with 2 different kinds of question included in this purchase:
Identify how many segments are marked on a line, and identify the fractions (halves through eighths) that it's been divided into.
Drag the proper fractions to the correct place on the number line. Files 2 and 4 include distractors. Files 3 and 4 include some equivalent fractions.
The four Jamboards are best used to differentiate assignments - it's not intended that students would do all 4 sequentially. You can project the files for a whole class activity, or have students work individually. Great for distance learning, or a no-print in-class math center.
Please note that Google has announced that Jamboard will cease to exist at the end of September 2024.
